Whats your background?
I have always been passionate about Art, it was always my favourite class at school and I would spend hours in room working on my art course work. After school I went to the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham and studied Film Production. Ultimately it was film and TV that became my career and I now work in VFX as a producer and I've worked on Show like Doctor Who and films like Guardians of the Galaxy. But art has remained a constant hobby of mine, and I often use it as a way to unwind after a stressful day, usually favouring painting. However I started putting pen to paper and experimenting with line drawings and eventually transitioning to digital drawing on my trusty I-pad Pro.
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influences are tattoo artists like Rebecca Vincent and Paula J Davey - both who create beautiful tattoo often based arounds plants and animals. I also love Victorian Diagrams, the sort that scientists used to document their discoveries.
What Inspires you?
Definitely the natural world, how there are so many variations of plants and petal formations is a source of never ending inspiration. I try to pick the most interesting looking plants to draw.
Whats your future ambitions?
I'd love to expand the Willow and Ivy range to include products like tea towels and notebooks.
